Modica Frank Houk, 58, died unexpectedly yesterday morning in his home at 3033 W. Monte Vista. He was a fire fighter at the Luke Air Force Base and had lived in Phoenix seven years, coming here from Centerville, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memory Chapel, A.L. Moore and Sons Mortuary. The Rev. Arthur H. Wood and the Rev. Allan Maddy will officiate. Luke-Greenway Post No.1, American Legion, will have charge of graveside services in Greenwood Memorial Park. Pall bearers will be from the 50-50 Lions Club of which Mr. Houk was a member.
Prior to going to Luke Air Force Base as a civilian employe, Mr. Houk sold real estate and insurance.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, Albert; two daughters, Roberta and Mary Frances, the latter a teacher in the First Church of Christ Scientist; all of Phoenix.
