    • Mrs. Veda Garrett Bivens
      Mrs. Veda Bivens, a former Linn County resident, died at a hospital in Denver, Colo., December 20. She was reared in the Purdin and Browning vicinities but had been a resident of Denver for many years. She has been in failing health for some time.
      Mrs. Bivens was the daughter of the late John Jess and Martha (Cassity) Garrett and would have been 80 years old in April. She was the sister of Nora Peery, Linneus.
      Funeral services were held in Denver December 22.
      The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friday, 29 December 1978.
