Notes - Purdin Resident Dies At Kirksville Hospital
Mrs. Carl T. Cassity, longtime resident of Purdin and telephone operator there, died last night at Grimm-Smith Hospital in Kirksville, after a short illness. She had undergone surgery Saturday. She was 46.
Born Virginia Ruth June 30 1905 near Purdin to Walter M. and Edna L. Bowyer, she was raised on a farm near Purdin.
Funeral arrangement have not yet been made. Until the funeral the body will be at the Wade Funeral Home in Browning.
Surviving are: the husband; the parents; a son, R.W. Cassity, Shelbina; a daughter, Mrs. Keith Cordray, Purdin; and a sister, Mrs. Vaughn Smith, Purdin.
