Married 1st before 1636 Gerrit Wolfertszen, son of Wolfert Gerritszen and Neeltgen Jacobsdr. Gerret Wolfertse Van Couwenhoven (1610 Amersfoort, Utrecht, Holland - about 1645) married Altie Cornelis Cool prior to her marrying Elbert Elbertse Stoothoof (circa 1635 in Flatlands).
Witnessed the baptism of Johannes Van Couwenhoven, son of Jacob Wolfertszen and Hester Jansen, on 19 May 1641 at Reformed Dutch Church, New Amsterdam, (sponsors Wolfert Gerritszen, Pieter Wolfertszen, Aeltie Cornelis).

- Adltje Cornelis Cool m. (2) Aug. 27, 1645; Capt. Elbert Elbertse Stoothoff, who emigrated in 1637 from Nieukerken, settled in Flatland. He m. (2) July 21, 1663, Sara Soelofse, wid. of Cornelius Van Bossum.

- Cool had a son Lambert Cornelissen, living in 1642, and left surviving two daughters, the one Pietersje Cornelia, m. Claes Jansen van Enden, who came from Purmerent, a town about 12 miles from Amsterdam, and was sometimes called Claes Jansen van Purmerent, and also known as Jan Pottagie, anglice "soup Johnny" (see p. 42 of Winfield*s Hudson County Land Titles). Long before his death, he abandoned the name of "van Purmerent," and was known as "Kuyper," probably from his being a cooper, of which kuyper is the Dutch. He resided at Paulus Hook; his wife died previous to 1656 (in November of which year he m. again), by whom he had three children. The other dau. of Cool, Altie Cornells, m. Gerret Wolfertse van Couwenhoven, and from her are descended the Brooklyn and New Utrecht Cowenhovens.
