Mrs. Ruth E. Culler Roderuck, 79, of Glade Road, Walkersville, died Monday, Nov. 8, at her residence.
She was the wife of Harold E. Roderuck. They were married for 52 years.
Born Dec. 10, 1919, in Feagaville, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Paul and B. Susie Thompson Culler.
She graduated from Frederick High School in 1937. She attended Miss Willard's School for Secretaries and managed F.W. Woolworth from June 1, 1945 through Dec. 31.
Mrs. Roderuck was a member of Glade United Church of Christ and Tawasi Sunday school class.
She was a member of Glade Valley Grange 417, Frederick Pomona Grange, Maryland State Grange and National Grange, Walkersville Homemakers Club, a charter member of Frederick County Farm Museum, and Frederick County Farm Bureau Women.
She was an avid bowler and volunteered transporting cancer patients to Hagerstown for treatments.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Pamela Sue Saylor and husband Robert, and Linda R. Powers and husband Michael, all of Frederick, and James Edgar Roderuck and wife Connie of Walkersville; and nine grandchildren, Timothy Allan Saylor and wife Shelby, Bryan Robert Saylor, Kevin Lee Saylor, Gregory Wayne Saylor, Shelly R. Powers Ford and husband Randy, Tammy Sue Powers, Andrew Douglas Roderuck, Matthew David Roderuck and James Joseph Roderuck.
The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at Glade United Church of Christ, 21 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, with Rev. Dr. Gerald C. Hanberry officiating.
Interment will be in Glade Cemetery, Walkersville.
