Suffering a long illness, Ervin N. “Bud” Hacker, 61, 310 N. 17th St., New Castle, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 1989, at the New Castle Health Care Center.
The son of William and Etta Mae Martin Hacker, he was born March 6, 1928, in Morgan County.
He married Vivian Juanita Kissick, who survives.
Mr. Hacker was a self-employed construction worker. He retired in 1986 for health reasons from New Castle Community School Corp., where he had been a school bus driver for handicapped children. He was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving besides the widow are a son, Stephen A. Hacker, Union City; three daughters, Sharon Voyles, New Castle, Brenda Hacker, Greenwood, and Debbie Franklin, Greenville, Ohio; two sisters, Esther Hatley and Amy Cendt, both Martinsville; four brothers, Floyd, Raymond and Ernie Hacker, all New Castle, and Herman Hacker, Martinsville; and seven grandchildren.
The Revs. Rick Curry and Mark Ails will conduct the service Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Southside Church of the Nazarene in new Castle. Burial will be in Green Hills Memory Gardens in that city.
Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Main & Frame Funeral Home in New Castles. On Wednesday calling is one hour prior to services at the church.
