Palmer - Funeral services wre held Friday afternoon at the Alfred Julius home at 1:30 and 2:00 o'clock at the St. John's Lutheran church at Lizard for Gottfried Julius. Mr. Julius was born in Germany, Nov. 29, 1863, and was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He came to America in 1889. On Dec. 26, 1890, he was united in marriage to Louise Zimmerman by Rev. Stachling. His wife preceded him in death Dec. 23, 1931. He has made his home with his son, Alfred the past 9 years and passed away there Wednesday morning at 5:00 o'clock, October 9, after a lingering illness. He had been bedfast since January 22, 1940. The deceased is survived by two sons, Alfred and Otto of Gilmore City, and two daughters, Mrs. Ida Bushe of Gilmore City and Mrs. Olga Schlievert of Humboldt, 25 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also four sisters. Burial was in St. John's cemetery. Rev. O.P. Ringhand officiated.
