    Walkinshaw – Samuel A. Walkinshaw died at the home of his twin brother Nov. 22, 1953, in Santa Ana, Calif. He was born Sept. 5, 1881, in Nebraska and had been a resident of Eugene for the past 7 years. He owned and operated his own barber shop in the Irish & Swartz Market. He is survived by his wife, Laura Maud; 1 son, Ralph C., of Eugene; 1 granddaughter, Dixie Lee Benz of San Diego; 1 twin brother, Lemuel, of Santa Ana; another brother James of Colorado; 3 sisters: Margaret Chestnut of Cottage Grove, Maude Blackwell of Kansas and Bessie of Seattle, Wash. Funeral services will be conducted in Simon-Lounsbury Mortuary Friday, Nov. 27, at 1:00 p.m. Paul S. Mellish will officiate, with interment in Rest-Haven Memorial Park.

    Walkinshaw - Laura Maude Walkinshaw of 30 West 19th Avenue, died in Salem, September 19, 1966. She was born January 9, 1980 in Clay Center, Kansas. She taught school in Kansas, and was united in married to Samuel A. Walkinshaw on April 19, 1905. The family moved to Oregon in 1911, and lived at Yoncalls, Oregon until 1920 when they moved to Eugene, where she had resided most of the time since. She was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church, and had always been active in church and community activities. her husband and son preceded her in death. She is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Gordon Bens of San Diego; two grand-children, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Robert W. Davis, and Mrs. Carl Ward of Eugene, Clarence Chestnut of Grants Pass, and Elmer Chestnut of Tacoma, Washington; also many nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, 1956, at 10:30 a.m. in Simon-Lounsbury Mortuary. Rev. Milton Gardner will officiate. Interment in Rest-Haven Cemetery.
