    Matthew Gantt, and Mary
    Carolyn Silas; great-grandson Michael Hess III, all of whom she loved dearly. She was a retired teacher and social worker. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, 639 W.     John G. Dugan, 65, of 408 E. Grand av., former maintenance department employe of the Crowell-Collier Publishing Co., died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in City Hospital. Mr. Dugan had been in failing health since March and had been hospitalized about two weeks.
    Mr. Dugan was a native of Springfield, born April 19, 1892, a son of Dr. John P. and Carrie Tibbetts Dugan.
    He was born in the house on E. Grand av. In which he resided his entire life. Mr. Dugan was a veteran of World War I, having served with the 54th Machinegun Corps of the Sixth Regular Army.
    Survivors are his widow, Mary L.; one son, John R. of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Exline of Springfield, and Mrs. Carolyn Silas of Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Frank A. Crothers of Springfield.
    His body was taken to the Woods funeral home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
