    Mrs. Lena McKeown, sister of Mrs. F.D. Letts wife of Rep. F.D. Letts of Davenport, is dead at her home in Seattle, Wash., according to word reaching Davenport today.
    Mrs. McKeown was formerly Miss Lena Haney of Muscatine. Rep. and Mrs. Letts reached San Francisco yesterday aboard the army transport Chateau Thierry, on which a flue epidemic broke out enroute from New York. They had planned to go from San Francisco to Hawaii and the Philippines but instead will go to Seattle for the funeral, after which they expect to return to Davenport.

    While Mrs. F. D. Letts was hurrying to the bedside of her father, David N. Haney, who is seriously ill at his home at Washington, Ia., Rep. F.D. Letts received a message announcing the death of his sister, Mrs. Emma Letts King, which occurred at her home in Berkley, Calif., early today.

    David Haney of Washington, boss of the bridge carpenters on the east for about 20 years, died at 2 o'clock Tuesday morning at Washington. He was aged 68 years. His wife survives. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Church at Washington.

    Mrs. David N. Haney
    Mrs. David N. Haney, 87, who resided with a daughter, Mrs. Alva Smith, 616 18th St., Moline, the last 11 years died at home at 2 this morning of an extended illness.
    Services will be at 9:30 Monday morning in Esterdah Chapel, Rev. Kenneth Hooe, pastor of Memorial Christian Church, Rock Island, officiating. Additional services will be at 2:30 in the afternoon in Sherman Funeral Home, Washington, Ia. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
    Martha Jane Bosley was born April 7, 1866, in Spickard, Mo. She was married to David N. Haney June 18, 1885. He died in 1928. Mrs. Haney resided for many years in Washington before she came to Moline.
    She was a member of the Rock Island church, the Order of Eastern Star in Topeka, Kan., the Moline Rebekah Lodge and the Royal Neighbors Camp of Washington.
    Surviving are four sons, Fred Haney of Maywood, Calif., Neil of Topeka, Kan., Lynn of Moline and Kenneth of Moline; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Letts, wife of Federal District Judge Letts, Washington, D.C., and formerly of Davenport, Mrs. Smith of Moline, and Mrs. Emma L. Shaw of Pollock, Mo.; several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five children.
