Cutter Services for Shirley Arlene Gates Cutter, 53 of 1001 Leadville Ave., who died of natural causes Thursday in a Boise nursing home, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Yellow Pine by the Rev. Dennis Neels of the Our Savior Lutheran Church, McCall. Interment will follow in Yellow Pine Cemetery, under the direction of Heikkila Funeral Home, McCall. She was born May 20, 1927, in Des Moines, Iowa. At a young age, she moved wither family to Missouri. She lived in Nebraska before coming to Yellow Pine in 1957. She later lived in California and Oregon. She returned to Idaho and had lived in the Boise and McCall areas. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Margaret) Durbin of McCall; three brothers, John Gates of Sandy, Ore., and Glen and Bill Gates, both of Seattle; three sisters, Mrs. Carl (Ada) Durig of Oregon City, Ore., Mrs. Earl (Sal) Ferguson of Santa Ana, Calif., and Mrs. Clay (Marge) Fullmer of Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepbrother, Ernie Shaver of Seattle; and two grandchildren. 3156 | Shirley Anne Woodside, age 88, died on August 3, 2018 at Ness County Hospital, Ness City. She was born on November 5, 1929 in Quinter, Kansas the daughter of Leon and Adeline Cates Coleman. On June 24, 1951 she married Forrest Woodside in Denver, Colorado. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2017. Shirley is survived by her son, Eric Woodside of Ness City and three daughters, Georganne and Gail Melton of Andover, Holly and James Hertel of Bazine, and Paula and Jon Allen of Edmond, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Charles Coleman. Funeral service will be held at the Cedar Village Care Center, Ness City on Friday, August 10, 2018, 10:00 A.M. followed by burial in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Fort Dodge, Kansas. Viewing will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family present from noon until 6:00 P.M. 3157 | Shirley Eloise Gilroy, 72, of Perry died Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The cause of death if unknown, pending results of an autopsy. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry, and burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Mrs. Gilroy was born in Lohrville and also lived in Cooper before moving to Perry in 1973. In 1985 she moved to Georgia, returning to Perry in 1988. She was a homemaker and member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are her husband, Victor; two sons, Steve of Augusta, Ga., and Dennis of Cedar Falls; and three grandchildren. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, 9 am. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Silas is survived by her daughter Mary (George) Gantt; her son Carl (Denise) Silas III; grandchildren: Michael and Ashley Hess, Laurin and Matthew Gantt, and Mary Carolyn Silas; great-grandson Michael Hess III, all of whom she loved dearly. She was a retired teacher and social worker. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
