Notes - Virgil T. Fish
Wapello – Virgil T. Fish, 78, former Wapello resident, died Friday at the Burlington Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Moon officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m.
Burial will be at the Victor, Iowa, Memorial cemetery.
Mr. Fish had been a shoe repairman and did related leather work.
He was born Oct. 25, 1899, at Victor, the son of Will and Luna (Smith) Fish.
He was married Oct. 25, 1927, to Gertrude Robertson, at Marengo.
Mr. Fish was a member of Wapello Lodge No.5, A.F.&A.M., Kaaba Temple, Davenport Consistory and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He is survived by one daughter, Lela Severin of Keystone, Iowa, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife.
