'GOING HOME
By Mary Pietsch
There was a joyous welcome in Heaven today
When one of our dear ones heard the Saviour say,
"Come, pour work on earth is done,
I need you in my Heavenly Home."
Our hearts were saddened as we
said "Good bye."
And we are so prone to wonder Why?
But our "Saviour always knows what's best
So in Him we can securely rest.
The Saviour takes him by the hand
And shows him over glory land
And all the things He has prepared
For those who trust His loving car.
Of course our days seem long and dearly
And at night we are oh, so weary,
'Till we too shall join the Heavenly throng.
And when that joyous day appears
Our savior shall wipe away all tears
And with our dear ones we shall be
At Home, sweet Home, through all eternity.
