A funeral for former Dayton, Carlton and McMinnville resident Donnis Faye Swift of Newberg will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church, Newberg, with the Rev. Peter Friesen-Blank officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.
Mrs. Swift died Jan. 25, 2003, in her home. She was 63.
She was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Dayton, the daughter of Glenn and Cassie Isabelle Nelson Patterson. She was raised and educated in Dayton and Carlton, attended McMinnville High School for two years, then attended and graduated from Dayton High School.
She worked for U.S. National Bank from 1963 to 1995. She graduated from the American Institute of Banking in 1985.
She and Robert Swift were married Sept. 13, 1990, in Newberg.
She was a deacon in the First Presbyterian Church, Newberg. She belonged to the Newberg Chamber of Commerce, Parent Teacher Organization, Vintage Festival and the National Business Women's Association.
Family members said she was devoted to her whole family and always willing to help others. She loved cooking, gardening, antiques and the beach.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ross Coleman of McMinnville and Donald Johnson of Eugene; three daughters, Roxane Coleman of Tigard, Cheryl Harrison of Eugene and Lori Fineman of Mill Valley, Calif.; her mother, C. Isabelle Trent of Dayton; a sister, Norma Staebler of Pendleton; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a twin brother, Donald Patterson.
