Notes - Last Tribute for Symphony Player
Harold St. Clair Garber, formerly a member of the first violin section of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, who died after a long illness in Tucson, Ariz., a few days ago, was buried from the Little Church of the Flowers at Glendale.
Mr. Garber was a member of the old symphony orchestra, and had been a popular violinist in this city up to his retirement, because of illness. He was a young man of gentle and kindly mien, well liked in the musical fraternity and his loss is mourned by many friends.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Anna c. Garber; a son, aged 10, Robert St. Clair Garber, and a sister. Pallbearers were William parker, earl R. stone, Lorn Powell, Ernest Whitehead, Sam Bennett and T. Matthay.
The Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles, California. Sunday, 26 June 1927.
