Notes - Liff, Edna Meryle Thomas
Died Sunday morning August 3, 1996 in Oakhurst California.
She was 95. Edna was the granddaughter of an early California family. Her grandfather, John Brown Parker, was the first Postmaster and the first Justice of the Peace of Pomona, California. In 1899 her father, Benjamin Franklin Thomas and her uncle, Perry Parker went to seek gold in the Klondike. Edna was born in Los Angeles and lived more than 70 years of her life there. She was a resident of Mariposa for 15 years. She had a very sweet nature and endeared herself to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by a sister, Ethelda Turner of Rio Vista, California and her daughter, Betty Boykin of Mariposa, California, a niece and two nephews. Neptune Society of Central California. Fresno.
