Notes - Lumberman dies after long illness
Carl J. Culter, vice-president and director of B.C. Forest Products Ltd., died Wednesday night after a long illness.
He was formerly part owner of Hammond Cedar Co. Ltd., Port Hammond, and of Industrial Timber Mills Ltd., Youbou, and timber limits and logging operations serving those mills.
They were sold in May, 1946 to B. C. Forest Products Ltd., and Mr. Culter became a vice president of the latter company.
Mr. Culter is survived by his wife and two sons. They are Richard, manager of Canadian Wood Pipe Co., and Lawrence, manager of J. Fyfe Smith.
Nunn and Thomson funeral chapel is handling funeral arrangements.
Mr. Culter lived at 3781 Newton Wynd.
