Notes - Gordon Carter, 83, of 533 W. 36th N., retired finisher and carpenter, services at 10 a.m. Monday in Cochran Mortuary, graveside services at 2 p.m. in Simmerwell Cemetery, Auburn, Kan. He died Thursday. Survivors include his widow, Mattie; two sons, Eldon, Anchorage, Alaska, and Carl T., Topeka; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Preston, Bothell, Wash., and Mrs. Verda Smith, Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, Louis, Center, Phillip, Boulder, Colo., Paul, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and John, Topeka, and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Woods, Eskridge, Kan., and Mrs. Eva Smith and Mrs. Metta Krein, both of Van Nuys, Calif.
