Notes - Joy L. Ashley
Joy L. Ashley, 57, south central Kansas City, died march 9, 1990, at Menorah Medical Center. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Ashley was a registered pharmacist and worked for the Missouri Retired Persons Pharmacy for 18 years. She was a member of the Marlborough United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She had attended Baker University and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. She was a member of the Rho Chi pharmacy fraternity. She was a member of the Phi Mu sorority at Baker University. Survivors include her husband, Herbert M. Ashley of the home, two daughters, Drew Ellen Ashley, Clinton, Mo., and Crystal K. Hoopes, Prairie Village, and a sister, Gwenn Peachey, Overland Park. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Muehlebach Chapel, cremation. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the chapel.
