- Mrs. Brewster honored on 89th birthday
Mrs. M.E. Brewster was honored on her 89th birthday Saturday when her great-niece, Mrs. Evelyn Thompson entertained at a dinner party at the Coffee Pot. Mrs. Emil Anderson and Mrs. Richard Thompson were guests.
On Sunday Mrs. Brewster had another birthday dinner with her son, George Brewster in Burlington.
Mrs. Brewster received many cars and flowers from friends.

- Malinda Brewster
Mrs. Malinda Emily Brewster, 90, Mediapolis, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, following an extended illness.
She was born at Mediapolis, April 21, 1867, the daughter of John and Anna Parker McKeown, and was married to Ed Brewster in March of 1901. He is dead. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are one son, George Brewster, West Burlington, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Methodist church, Mediapolis, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Sharon cemetery. The body will be taken from Prugh’s chapel to the church, and will be in state from 1:30 until time for the service.
