Notes - Johnne Ruth Martin Gray, 86, of Cleburne, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at a local care center in Burleson, Texas. She was born on June 29, 1919 near Rosenthal in McLennan County, Texas to Charles and Mattie Martin. Mrs. Gray attended Colorado Woman's College and Baylor University before meeting the love of her life, Mr. James Arthur Gray of whom she married on September 1, 1943 in Plainview, Texas. She had been a resident of Kerr County since 1986 until her move to Cleburne, Texas to be close to family. Mrs. Gray was an active member of Grace Bible Church, Kerrville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband who passed in 2002. Surviving her are her children, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gray of Cleburne, Texas, Mrs. Virginia Nance of Pearland, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Sheehan of Austin, Texas; a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Martin of San Saba, Texas; grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer Gray of Ft. Worth, Texas, Robert and April Nance of Marshall, Texas, and Sara and Jacob Warren of Tyler, Texas; great-grandchildren, James Nance and Audra Nance of Marshall, Texas, and Shelby Gray of Ft. Worth, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM, Sunday, August 7, 2005 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, August 8, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel, 1221 Junction Highway, with Pat Patterson and Keith Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 3250 Fredericksburg Road, Kerrville, Texas.
