- Donald V. Schnoebelen
Goshen – Donald V. Schnoebelen, 68, of 108 E. Monroe St., died at 1:20 p.m. Monday in Goshen General Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack. Mr. Schnoebelen was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Riverside, Iowa. He moved to Goshen in 1936. On Feb. 19, 1944, in Goshen, he married the former Jessie Sunthimer. She survived with a son, Donald C. of Goshen; two daughters, Rene Livernois of Annapolis, Md., and Nanlee Wegener of Atlanta; four grandchildren; two brothers, Cletus of Jesup, Iowa, and Clement of Boulder, Colo.; and three sisters, Eleanor Manionof Jeseup, Robert Lambert of Northbrook, Ill., and Nelda Naso of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mr. Schnoebelen had been employed at West Dodd Co. and at NIBCO Inc., Elkhart. He was a graduate of Goshen High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Blocker-Harris Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart County Heart Fund.
