Notes - Mrs. Chadwell Dies After Long Illness
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lucien Methodist church for Mrs. Eva Chadwell, 89, 723 Grove street, who died Saturday in a Cherokee hospital following a year’s illness.
Rev. Pierce will officiate at the services and interment will be in McGuire cemetery at Lucien under the direction of the Parker funeral home of Perry.
Mrs. Chadwell’s home was in Perry, but for several months she had made her home with a son, Percy Daniels, at Cherokee. Daniels is formerly of Perry.
She was born July 22, 1860, in Chatfield, Minn., and moved to Oklahoma in 1893. Her family homesteaded a farm near Lucien. Mrs. Chadwell was married to Thomas Chadwell in 1894 at Arkansas City, Kan.
Survivors other than her son are a brother, Ernest Benham of Enid; a grandson, Cecil Daniels, 917 Perry avenue, Perry; two granddaughters, Mrs. Leslie Raulston, Duncan, and Mrs. Marvis Burbridge of Aurora, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and a daughter.
