Notes - Veteran of World War Laid to Rest
Morning Sun, Ia., Aug. 24. – (Special.) – The funeral services of Vernon Earl Jarvis took place Sunday afternoon at 2:30, at the home of his father, Sam Jarvis, southwest of town. The service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Nicholis of the First Presbyterian church.
Vernon Earl Jarvis was born May 28, 1894, at Morning Sun, and died last Friday, Aug. 20. He was in the army during the World war. His health broke during this time and he never regained it. He was a member of the Reorganized Church, Latter Day Saints at Decatur, Neb. He leaves a father and mother, four brothers and five sisters. Interment was in Elmwood cemetery.
