Notes - Mildred Marie McKeown, 88, of Morning Sun, died Weds. Jan. 13, 1999 at Burlington Medical Center. Born Oct. l5, 1910 at Yarmouth, she was the daughter of Oscar J. and Clara Ross Linder. She married Ralph E. McKeown on Aug. 5, 1931 in Monmouth, IL. Mrs McKeown was a homemaker. Survivors include 3 daughters, a son, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, four brothers, and one sister.

Morning Sun, la., Aug. 8.-Miss Mildred Linder and Ralph E. McKeown were united in marriage at Monmouth, Ill., Wednesday. Rev. Mr. Fulcher, pastor of the Presbyterian church of that place officiating. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Linder of this place. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Linder of the Marsh vicinity where she grew to young womanhood. The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McKeown and for a number of years his home has been on a farm northwest of Morning Sun. He was graduated from the local high school with the class of 1923 and is an industrious young farmer. Each have many friends throughout this and the Marsh vicinity. They will make their home on a farm one and one-half miles northwest of Morning Sun.

The couple request no gifts. Mildred Linder and Ralph McKeown were married Aug. 5, 1931, at Monmouth, III. The couple have five children: Helen Yaeger and Frances Martin, both of Burlington; Everett, Terre Haute, Ind.; Marilyn Carhoff, Sperry; and Lois Parkhurst, Morning Sun. They also have ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
