Notes - Rites for Katie Reeves in Tulsa
Mrs. Katie A. Reeves, 85, one time Chandler resident, died Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George E. Reeves, 1331 East 17th street, Tulsa.
A native of Vandalia, Michigan, she and her late husband, M.H. Reeves, made the run into Indian Territory in 1893 and staked a claim near Perkins.
They moved later to Chandler where Mrs. Reeves lived twenty years with two other daughters, Mrs. Pearl McKeown and Mrs. Blanche R. Welch, at 1420 East 31st street, Tulsa. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Chandler.
Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Maude Kennedy of the home address; Mrs. Grace Mills, 328 East 11th street, Tulsa and Mrs. Rose Carnes, Norton, Kansas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Tulsa.
