WALKINSHAW, HUGH W., farmer and stock raiser, section 32, PO Clarinda; born in 1842, in Ohio. Moved in 1855, with is parents, to Des Moines Co, Iowa, where he remained for fiteen years. He came from there to this county in 1872, and settled on his present farm in 1874. He was married in that year to Miss Elizabeth Glasgo, a native of Pennsylvania.
- THE HISTORY OF PAGE COUNTY, IOWA, published in 1880 [3] - Hugh Walkinshaw and wife of Page county, Iowa, were here last week the guests of A.J. McConaughy and wife and other relatives. They returned home Friday. While here Mr. Walkinshaw had the misfortune to trip and fall on a loose board in one of our defective sidewalks which laid him up for several days. He did not bring suit for damages, but would have done so had the injury been more sever, or permanent.
