Notes - Grue - Funeral services for Christian Grue, age 72 years, beloved husband of Carrie Grue, who passed away at the family home, 610 Forest street, Thursday morning, January 21, after an illness of about one year, will be held in the large chapel of the Homer Mark Mortuary, at Cornwall avenue and Halleck street, Sunday afternoon, January 24, at 2 o’clock with the Rev. O.J. Ordal, pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran church, officiating. Cremation will follow at the Homer Mark Crematorium. Mr. Grue was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran church and a former member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was a well-known Bellingham merchant, operating clothing and grocery stores here for the past forty years. Surviving relatives, besides his widow, are one son, Carl A. Grue, city; two daughters, Mrs. Albert G. McKeown, Seattle, and Mrs. R.F. Taylor, Kew Gardens, Long Island, N.Y.; one sister and one brother residing in the East; several nieces and nephews, of whom Oluf Hoel resides in Bellingham, and six grandchildren. Bearers will be Harry W. Masters, Dr. S.H. Johnson, Martin Thompson, L.B. Jones, Kingsely B. Peasley and A.G. Wickman.
