Notes - Russell S. McGuyer
Casper – A Celebration of Life luncheon in memory of Russell S. McGuyer, 80, will be held at the Senior Citizens Center, 1831 E. 4th St., on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the dining hall.
He died Sept. 18, 2006, at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born June 14, 1926, in Perry, Okla., and grew up in Texas before finally making his home in Wyoming. He worked the oil fields from Montana to Texas and was owner/operator of the Russ McGuyer Service Company for more than 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Julia; an extended family of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and an adopted brother, Jim.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Lolene and one brother, Charles, all of Mineral Wells, Texas.
Interment will take place at a later date in Mineral Wells, Texas.
