    • MRS. ALMIRA DRURY DIES AT HOME HERE

Mrs. Almira May Drury, 71, died at her home here Wednesday. She had been in poor health for some time, but had been critically ill only the past few weeks.

Funeral services were to be held Friday morning at the Clearwater Baptist church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. F. R. Parker. Interment was in the Clearwater cemetery.

Music was by a duet composed of Mrs. Willard Parker and Mrs. Frank Cromley, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Tjaden. Casket bearers were six nephews of Mrs. Drury, Willard, Moses and Wayne Parker, and Lawrence, Fred and Paul Nighswonger.

Mrs. Drury had been a resident of Clearwater since the death of her husband in 1937, but had lived in this vicinity nearly all her life. She was born Almira May Parker at Mediapolis, Desmoins county, Iowa on September 11, 1874. The family came to Kansas in March, 1876.

In November, 1894, she was married to Alva Drury. When 13 years of age she was converted and joined the church.

Survivors include two daughters Sibyl Nighswonger, Viola; and Edith Kraus of Bently; five sons, Merle and Raymond of the home, Leslie of Topeka, Verne of Kansas City, and Roy of Planeview; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Nighswonger of Viola; three brothers, R. L. Parker of Kansas City, and J. W. and Ed Parker of Clearwater.

Arrangements were made by Aldridge mortuary.
