Hillsborough – Mary Catherine Buck, 83, died yesterday (Nov. 8, 1989) at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
She was born in Albany, N.Y., and was a lifelong resident of the Hillsborough-Somerville area.
For more than 30 years, she owned the former Vanity Box beauty shop in Somerville. She retired in 1956.
Mrs. Buck was a member of First United Methodist Church in Somerville.
Her husband, Arthur Buck, died in 1975.
Surviving are a son, Frederick Roger Buck of Hillsborough; a daughter, Judith Babey of Branchburg; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Arrangements are by Speer-Van Arsdale Funeral Home in Somerville.
