Morning Sun, Ia., May 17. – Mrs. Alfred Kilpatrick, 56, lifelong resident of the Sharon and Winfield communities, died at 10 p.m. Monday in the Burlington hospital where she underwent an operation recently. She was formerly Ella Edgar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Edgar, and was born in December 1881, near Winfield. The family moved to the Sharon community where she grew to womanhood and was married Sept. 28, 1904, to Mr. Kilpatrick. Her husband; four sons: the Rev. Lester Kilpatrick, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Ralph, student at Geneva college, Beaver Falls, Pa.; Kyle, Cedar Rapids, and Wiley, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Julia Edgar, Morning Sun; a twin sister, Mrs. Ella Hartzell, Mars, Pa.; three brothers, Melville, Morning Sun; Charles, Renfrew, Pa., and George, Yakima, Wash.; a half-brother, William, Crawfordsville; and three half-sisters, Mrs. J.C. Green, Morning Sun; Mrs. James Hensleigh, Sterling, Kas., and Mrs. Lizzie Thompson, Canonsburg, Pa., survive.
