Funeral Rites Are Held Here For Early Day Resident of This City.
Another of the early day residents of this city has been summoned in death in the passing of Mrs. Julie McClure-Marohn, of Keans Canyon, Ariz., word of her death having been received by her sister, Mrs. Sara Schloredt of this city late yesterday. She had been in failing health the past tow years.
The body was shipped to Lead, arriving here on the noon Burlington today. Funeral services were held frm the Rounsevell funeral home this afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. Jeri Zimerman of the Presbyterian church. Interment was in the Odd Fellows cemetery in West Lead, by the graveside of her husband, the late Adolph Harohn, who died many years ago. Two of the daughters of the deceased, Mrs. Beth Wilson of Keans Canyon, with whom she mad her home, and Mrs. Beulah Woralk of Los Angeles, Cal., accompanied the body here for the rites. A son, Roy Marohn, lives in Spokane, as do two of her sisters.
Mrs. Marohn was born in Deposit, N.Y., in 1858, and came west in 1881, settling in Sturgis. She was married there in 1888 to Adolph Marohn. They came to Lead after their marriage and lived here until the death of Mr. Marohn in 1914. Since his death Mrs. Marohn has lived in Spokane, Wash., Los Angeles, Cal., and Keans Canyon, Ariz.

Ralph L. Marohn
Ralph L. Marohn, 64, of Olympia, died Tuesday at Madigan Army Hospital.
He was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Spokane. He served as a captain in the Army and retired in 1962. He then worked as a bus driver for the North Thurston School District for 13 years before retiring in 1978. He and his wife Grace celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary May 29, 1982.
He was a member of Olympia Moos Lodge NO.1759, the Olympia VFW Lodge No.318, the Olympia post of the American Legion, the Retired Officers Association and was a charter member of Lacey Eagles Lodge No.21.
Survivors include, besides his wife at the family home, a son, Michael, Olympia; a daughter, Mrs. Greg (Carol) Chaper, Olympia; a sister Mrs. Albert (MaryAlice) Giggs, La Mesa, Calif.; also three grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mr. Marohn will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Henry S. Rahn officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Gardens under the direction of Forest Funeral Home.
