May Harden
Funeral services for May Harden, 75, a 27-year resident of Sacramento, were held at 1:30 p.m. today in the Sunset Funeral Chapel, 4701 Marysville Blvd.
The Kansas native resided at 3834 May St., and died Monday evening in a local hospital.
She worked 18 years as a woodworker for the Essex Lumber Co. and was a member of the International Woodworkers of America.
Mrs. Harden was a member of the John Pershing Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary No.4647 in North Highland, the Geranium Club and the Aldersgate Methodist Church.
Her survivors include sons, Roy and John Carter and Everett and William Harden; daughters, Mrs. Ruth Phelan; sisters, Mrs. Minnie Grigsby, Mrs. Irene Hanna, Mrs. Lela Dodge, and Mrs. Neva Stewart; brothers, Clifford, Myron and Harry Cripts. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Sunset Lawn.

He leaves his beloved wife of 32 yrs Mable E. Carter. Loving brother to Ruth Phelan, Evert Harden and Bill Harden. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. A lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4647 North Highlands and Maintenance of Southern Pacific. Preceded in death by mother May Harden, father Frank Carter, stepfather, Charles Harden and brother John Carter.
