    Helen Joy McKeown was born March 11th, 1925, and died at the home of her parents after a short illness on August 28th, 1927. She was the child of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McKeown, living southeast of Superior, Nebraska.
    Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Interment was made in the Superior cemetery.

    Keith McKeown, the son of Thomas P. and Estella (Harkins) McKeown, was born on May 25, 1927 in Jewell County, Kansas. He passed away on October 22, 2020 at his home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 93 years, 4 months, 27 days.

    Keith attended Valley View Country school and was a Superior High School graduate. He was a lifelong farmer. On February 15, 1950, he was united in marriage to Rose Marie Demaray at their home three miles south of Superior in Jewell County Kansas. This union was blessed with 4 children.

    He was a member of the Lions Club, and the Webber Methodist Church.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose Marie on June 16, 2013 and his sister Helen Joy McKeown.

    He is survived by his sons Daniel McKeown and wife Virginia of Webber, Kansas; Dwayne McKeown of Wichita, Kansas; and daughters Lynette Bartley and husband Gail of Webber, Kansas and Susan Traeger and husband Dana of Fairbury, Nebraska; 2 granddaughters Emily Marie Eakins and husband Tony of Clyde, Kansas and Madeline Grace Hoard of Hays, Kansas; two great grandchildren, Ember and Ryder Eakins. He is also survived by his sisters Norma Bargen of Superior, Nebraska and Phyllis Hurd Mankato, Kansas; other relatives and a host of friends
