    Bellefontaine, Jan. 11. – (Spl.) – Mrs. Edna McWhinney, 71, was in serious condition today at Mary Rutan hospital from burns suffered shortly before noon at her home in this city.
    The woman’s clothing caught fire while she was sweeping near a heating stove. She ran from the house and attempted to extinguish the fire by rolling in the snow. Neighbors came to her aid and she was removed to the hospital.

    Heart Attack Fatal To James Glasgow
    James Cameron Glasgow died Thursday afternoon at his home at 226 West Magnolia street of a heart attack. He was born July 13, 1873, I Page county, Iowa, and came to Larimer county in 1912, living on a farm for a number of years before moving to Fort Collins nine years ago. He attended the Presbyterian church.
    Surviving are two sisters with whom he lived, Miss mary Glasgow and Miss Gertrude Glasgow, another sister, Mrs. Edna McWhinney of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and three brothers, Arthur Glasgow of Valley, Neb., David W. Glasgow and Howard Glasgow of Albion, Neb.
    The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m., at the Blythe-Hollowell mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Marcus Grether. Burial will be at Graneview cemetery.
    Fort Collins Coloradoan, Fort Collins, Colorado. Friday, 29 January 1943.

    Miss Mary Glasgow Here 43 Years, Dies
    Miss Mary Arabella Glasgow, a 43-year resident of Fort Collins and for many years a public school teacher in Colorado and Nebraska, died at the Larimer County Hospital late Saturday of a circulatory ailment with which she long had been ailing.
    Her home was at 226 West Magnolia Street, where she lived with a sister, Miss Gertrude Glasgow. Twenty-five years ago a brother, the late James C. Glasgow, and a sister, the late Miss Jennie Glasgow, lived with them at the same address.
    Miss Glasgow was born at St. Bernard, Neb., March 6, 1876. Before coming here in 1911 she had lived at Superior, Neb. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
    Other relatives are four nieces, two nephews, five grand-nephews, four grand-nieces, two great grand-nephews, and a great grand-niece.
    The funeral has been set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Blyth-Hollowell mortuary, to the conducted by the Rev. Marcus Grether. Burial will be at Grandview cemetery.

    Miss Jane Florence Glasgow, long a resident of Fort Collins, died at her home 226 West Magnolia street, Friday at 4 p.m. Death terminated an illness of two and one-half months.
    Miss Glasgow was a member of the First Presbyterian church. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hollowell-Blythe mortuary.
    She is survived by three sisters and four brothers; miss Gertrude Glasgow, Miss Mary A. Glasgow, 226 West Magnolia street; Mrs. Edna McWhinney of Ohio; James Glasgow, 226 West Magnolia street; and Arthur, David, and Howard Glasgow of Nebraska.

    Arthur Neal Glasgow, 70, of Valley son of Adam and Ann Myers Glasgow was born Sept. 10, 1885 at Superior, Nebraska and passed away at an Omaha hospital October 26, 1955 after a prolonged illness.
    He was married to Edith Loper in 1911 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. They moved to Albion, Nebraska where they were engaged in business and later came to Valley where they were in the restaurant business for many years.
    He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
    His loved ones will long remember his kindness and how often he used to read the Bible to them.
    Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eva Emart of Escalon, Calif., Mrs. Mary Reed of Waterloo and Mrs. Florence Rhoades of Valley; a sister, Miss Gertrude Glasgow of Fr. Collins, Colo., and five grandchildren.
    Funeral services were conducted from the Swanson Funeral Home in Valley on Sunday, Oct. 30th with Rev. Dale Kanrath in charge.
    Frank Warren of Elkhorn sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” and “In the Garden” with Mrs. Dora Ritner accompanying him at the organ.
    Pallbearers were Henry Whitehead, Gus Sumnick Jr. and Clarence McArdle, all of Waterloo; Harlan Merryweather of Valley, Russell Reed of Omaha and Frank McArcle of Elkhorn.
    Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
    Swanson Funeral Home of Valley was in charge of arrangements.

    News was received here Thursday of the recent death of David W. Glasgow of Albion, Neb.
    Mr. Glasgow, 63, was the brother of Mary, Gertrude and Arthur Glasgow, all of Fort Collins. Death followed a sudden heart attack.

    Albion, Neb., DNS – Funeral services for Howard Glasgow, 58, who died in a hospital here Wednesday afternoon following a long illness, were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard Dinsdale officiated, and hymns were sung by the Rev. and Mrs. Dinsdale.
    The body was taken to Ft. Collins, Colo., for burial Saturday.
    Howard Louis Glasgow was born June 10, 1893, at Mt. Clare, Neb., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Glasgow. The family moved to Ft. Collins, Colo., in 1912.
    Oct. 29, 1921, he was united in marriage with Augusta Fleming at Ft. Collins. In 1922 they came to Albion where he went into business with his brother, David W. Glasgow.
    He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Betty Jean, Lansing, Mich.; one son, Louis Howard, and two grandchildren, Schottsbluff, and two sisters and two brothers.
    He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
