    • Samuel Hankins Wills $75,000 to St. Luke’s Fund
      An estate estimated at $75,000 has been left to St. Luke’s hospital nursing school student loan fund by Samuel R. Hankins, who died May 3.
      Hankins was a member of the St. Luke’s board of directors from 1930-1961, member of executive committee from 1941-1961, president of the board in 1944-53 and vice president, 1953-59.
      He also served on the nursing school committee.
      Hankins also was general secretary of the Cedar Rapids YMCA from 1924-42.
      Hankins’ will, dated Sept. 16, 1957, had left a monthly payment to his wife and $1,000 each to two sisters. His wife and one sister preceded him in death.
