    • Grace Elizabeth Marohn was born in Wheelock, North Dakota on October 1, 1913 to Robert and Alice Wunderlich. She was the youngest of four children, and was predeceased by her brothers, Harry and Harold, and, most recently, by her 101-year-old sister, Margie Chaloner. Grace went to Normal School in North Dakota and became a teacher. She later moved to Spokane and married United States Army Captain Ralph L. Marohn on May 29, 1942. She lived in Alabama, Alaska, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and Germany during her husband's tour of duty. Ralph passed away on May 10, 1983. Grace retired as Payroll Supervisor from the Finance Division at Fort Lewis. Grace enjoyed traveling around the world, and visited Europe, Australia, Central and South America, China, and Russia. She was a past Senior Regent of the Women of the Moose. Grace enthusiastically volunteered at the Washington State Capital Museum for 20 years, and was awarded Volunteer of the Year. She was also recognized as Volunteer of the Week by The Olympian for her other activities as well. Grace was proud to be a Lacey Rotary Creighton Hayes Fellow.
