Kressa A. Brummette, 97, of Charlotte, died June 24, 2001.
Mrs. Brummette was born Dec. 18, 1903 in Traverse City, the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Van Valkenburg) Calhoun. She was a member of the Charlotte Pentecostal Church of God and the Charlotte Area Senior Citizens. She married Earl Brummette, who preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1977.
She is survived by sons, Douglas (Joann) Brummette, Eddie (Marlene) Brummette, and Richard (Janet) Brummette, all of Charlotte; daughters, Barbara Bodell, Joy Hicks and Shirley (Richard) Crosslan, all of Charlotte, and Beverly Geiser of Phoenix, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren , and four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Morse of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by son William in 1933.
Services were held June 27 at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing, with Rev. Elbern Householder officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice or Hayes Green Beach Home Health Care. Further information is available at www.legacy.com.
