4236 | ROBERTS, Johnnie “Doyle”, age 87, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his residence. Doyle worked nearly 30 years at Dayton Press and another 12 years for Centerville City Schools before officially retiring in the mid ’90’s. He was affiliated with Dryden Road Pentecostal Church. He took his family to Bruce Mines in Ontario, Canada each year for over 20 years for family vacations and to enjoy quality fishing. He also enjoyed food and liked to experiment in the kitchen, ultimately becoming a good cook along the way. Among many things, he will be remembered for his love of pocket knives, which he collected and made.
