Alfred E. Zeigler Funeral Friday
Funeral for Alfred E. Zeigler, 67, of Caldwell Place will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street, with the Rev. Harold E. Armstrong officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 12:30 until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Bartholomew County Humane Society.
Mr. Zeigler died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 1995, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He was a test foreman at Cummins Engine Co., retiring in 1982, was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of First Christian Church and the American Legion.
Born June 23, 1927, in Columbus, he was the son of John and Doris Barros Zeigler, later Doris Zeigler Bryer Prather. He married Lorraine Hensley Oct. 18, 1946 in Columbus. She precede him in death Feb. 13, 1991. He married Gladys Parrigin March 21, 1992, in Columbus. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Stephen Zeigler of Stafford, Va.; grandchildren, Brandt V., Arianne S., and Nikolaas H. Zeigler, all of Stafford; a sister, Linda Bryer of Columbus; and half brothers, John Zeigler of North Carolina and Bill Zeigler.
