Notes - Amanda Elizabeth Murray Blankenship, 82, of Veedersburg, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at The Waters of Covington.
She was born in Clay County, Ky. on Nov. 20, 1928 to the late Delmar B. and Mary Jane Greer Murray. On May 8, 1948, she married Clyde Henry Blankenship in London, Ky. He survives.
Also surviving are eight children, Walter Ed Blankenship (wife: Vicky), Gary Wayne Blankenship (wife: Gina), Ralph Dennis (Christy) Blankenship and Leisa Ann (Scott) Minick, all of Veedersburg, Kathy Nadine Poll (husband: David) of Covington, Karen Jane Clodfelder (husband: Alan) of Covington, Martha Karolyn Rookstool (husband: Mike) of Willis, Texas and James "Jim" Earl Blankenship (wife: Marcia) of Attica; two sisters, Bethel Schaeffer (husband: George) of Covington and Nadine Sample (husband: Clinton) of Veedersburg; a brother, Edmund Murray, Tavares, Fl.; 24 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Lee and Clyde Dale Blankenship, both in August of 1984, and a grandson, Marc Richard Billingsley, June of 1991.
