- Linda L. Greer, 59
Attica – Linda Lou Mitton Greer, 59, of Attica, died at 9:03 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She had been in ill health.
Born east of Attica, on May 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert c. and Margaret L. Dill Mitton. She was a life resident of Attica.
Mrs. Greer formerly worked as a certified nursing assistant with the Indiana Veterans’ Home in West Lafayette for five years. Later, she worked as a cashier for the Super Test Gas Station in Attica for 10 years until her health declined.
She was a member of the Attica Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed collecting knick-knacks and knitting and was an avid Indiana University sports fan and a Chicago Cubs fan.
On May 16, 1964, she married Carl M. Greer in Attica. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Kristy Grogan (husband: Mike) of Independence, Karla Tippy (husband: Kevin) of Lafayette and Bobbi Greer (companion: Bill Christenberry) of Attica; two sons, Mike Greer and Ricky Greer (wife: Amy), both of Lafayette; a granddaughter, Amanda Greer, who was raised in the home; a sister, Judy Clawson, Attica; four brothers, Donnie Mitton of Mellott (wife: Nancy), Richard Mitton of the Philippines, Gary Bog Mitton and Mike Mitton, both of Attica.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb 13. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the funeral home, the Rev. Harvey Lange officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Fifteen grandchildren and a great granddaughter survive. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Patricia Mitton.
