Announcement is being made by Mrs. M.R. Warner of Hyde Park, Cincinnati, of the engagement of her daughter, Lois Miriam, to Mr. Solomon William Cole, the second son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Cole of Lexington.
The date for the wedding is not yet mentioned.

Says Announcement Of Engagement Is Mistake
Solomon William Cole called The Herald yesterday and said that the reported announcement of his engagement, which appeared in Sunday’s society column, was unauthorized by him.

Mr. Solly W. Cole, 78, husband of the late Irene Brummette Cole and father of the late Solly W. Cole, II, 1823 Nicholasville Road, died Tuesday. He was a formerly associated with the R.M. Coons Hardware Company. He was born in Fayette County, son of the late Jefferson D. and Mary T. Perkins Cole. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Bluegrass Council #89 U.C.T., and a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors are one sister, Made M. Cole, Lexington; two brothers, John B. Cole, Lexington and Clifford P. Cole, Lexington; three nieces and six nephews. Funeral services 10 a.m. Friday at the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway by Rev. Thomas Nix. Interment Lexington Cemetery. Active bearers, Dr. Lawson Smith, James B. Cole, Bill Cole, Edward Van Arsdale, Charles Finnell, Dr. Robert Polancich. Honorary bearers will be members of the Baraca Sunday School Class. Friends may call today from 5-9 p.m.
