- Thomas B. Harris
Thomas Bennett Harris, 73, of Start Route East, Ligonier, died Thursday in Latrobe Area Hospital.
He was born Nov. 12, 1906, in Jonesville, Va., a son of the late George W. and Rennie Seal Harris.
A member of United Methodist Church, Rector, he was a retired steelworker at Crucible Steel, Midland.
Surviving are his widow, Julia Gertrude Harris; three children, Marie Wharton of Baltimore, Md., Shirley Matthews of Ligonier and Thomas E. of Gulfport, Miss.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard of Crab Orchard, Ky., and Earl and Chester, both of East Liverpool, Ohio, and five sisters, Mattie Yeary of Jonesville, Va., Mary Bowen of Aquasco, Md., Grace Blankenship of Midland, Ruby Pingleton of Berea, Ky., and Ollie Watkins of Germantown, Ohio.
Friends will be received in Owen Wolford Funeral Home, 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Howard Smith and the Rev. Richard Tepper officiating.
Inerment will follow in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
