Notes - Mr. Ellis Kidwell, age 84 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born in Rockcastle County, KY on Sep. 14, 1927 the son of Stephen D. and Martha S. Wilmot Kidwell. He was a retired service station owner and was a member of the Conway Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jean Cain Kidwell; and a sister, Ann Kidwell Sears of Berea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Reuban Arthur and Nancy Robinson Wilmot; his paternal grandparents, James and Susan Lakes Kidwell; 8 brothers, Cleveland, Raymond, Chester, Everette, Edgar, William, Delbert, and his twin brother, Elmer Kidwell; a sister, Marie Kidwell McKnight; and two nephews, Gary Kidwell and Carl Sears, Jr.Visitation:6-9 PM Thursday, Nov. 10 at Dowell & Martin Funeral HomeFuneral:1 PM Friday, Nov. 11 at Dowell & Martin Funeral Home by Bros.
