Nora Evelyn Young, 74, 2035 New Orleans Dr., died at her residence Mon. She was born in Madison Co., the daughter of the late Christopher and Pauline Wilmot Lawson, a member of parkway Baptist Church and a former employee of Laval Cleaners. She is survived by two sons, Marion S. Young, Richmond and Arthur Eugene Young, Lexington; three daughters, Marietta Shields, and Barbara Durrum, both of Lexington, and Delores McQueen, Richmond; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert and Reuben Lawson, both of Lexington, Tom and Walter Lawson, Both of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Mary Easter Parker and Frances Long, both of Lexington. Services 10 a.m. Wed. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Wallace officiating. Burial in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Glenn Cherryholmes, Sam Young, Richard Durrum, Billy Durrum, Johnny Taylor, and Robert Young. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
