- W.P. Bryan Rites Are Here Tuesday
Walter Pinkney Bryan, 84-year-old Wetumka resident and father of Seminole councilman, T.P. (Mutt) Bryan, died in Seminole Municipal Hospital Sunday after a lengthy illness. Services are Tuesday, July 23, at 2:30 p.m. in Sommerville-Swearingen-Arnhart funeral chapel.
The Rev. Burney Cope, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Wetumka cemetery.
Mr. Bryan was born February 20, 1879 in Franklin County, Arkansas and came to Wetumka about ten years ago from Arkansas.
Survivors include three sons, Rolan C. Bryan of Wellington, Tex., James R. Bryan of Mouton, Tex., and T.P. (Mutt) Bryan of Seminole; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Cal Sharpe, Howard Aikin, H.M. (Blackie) Wilburn, Clyde Bonner, Paul Gaines and S.R. Creekmore.
