Lompoc - Funeral Services for William H. Marcum, 68, Lompoc, will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Marcum was born Dec. 6, 1917, in Cass, Ark., He was a retired master sergeant who served 22 years with the U.S. Army. After retiring in 1961, he moved to Lompoc from Marina and worked for five years with IFF-Federal Electric Corp. He died Monday at Vandenberg Air Force Base Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Lompoc; two daughters, Peggy Kinman and Glinda Clifford, both of Lompoc; four sons, Troy Brown of San Marcos, Jimmie Brown of Huntington Beach, L.D. Brown of Garden Grove and Clyde Brown of Lompoc; a brother, Glen Marcum of Lompoc; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the mortuary from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara, 300 West Pueblo, Santa Barbara 93105.
