Notes - WATSON, LOUISE. Louise Watson, born Feb. 23, 1928, died April 12, 2006, at the age of 78. A longtime resident of the Portland metropolitan area, she was born in California, graduated from Commerce High School in Portland, and worked at Oregon Health Science University. She married John Ruchek in 1947, had three children, Patricia, John and Scott and stayed at home as a homemaker. She was later divorced and married David Watson in June 1975 and celebrated 25 years of marriage before his death in 2000. Louise enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, bowling, dancing and spending time with her family. She was a beloved wife, a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and a loving sister. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Hunter and husband, William of Fairview, and their two children, Lisa Hunter Schauer and husband, Alfred, and Michael Hunter; son, John Ruchek; son, Scott Ruchek and wife, Suzanne Hunter Ruchek, and their son, Hunter Ruchek. Living siblings include sisters, Barbara Stogsdill of Tustin, Calif.; Marjorie Morton of Seaside; Joyce Gibson of Texas; Charlene Berhorst of Lafayette; brothers include Steven Elmore of Vancouver, Charles Elmore of Salem, and George Elmore. A private memorial service was held on Friday, April 14, 2006, at the Little Chapel of the Chimes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Boys & Girls Aid Society of Oregon, 018 Boundary Court, Portland, Oregon 97239-3939 in memory of Louise Watson.
